The MALAT Estate, established 1722, is located in the small village of Furth bei Göttweig in the wine growing region Kremstal, in the Danube. Michael Malat, the 10th generation winemaker, is known for authentic and rerroir-driven wines, which are always elegant, pure, and full of finesse but never opulent or fat.
Vines average 30 years grown on mixed soils of primary rock, loess, and gravel from the Danube River. Natural fermentation and aged in large old oak casks for 12 months.
