WELCOME TO BOSSANOVA REWARDS

  • Redeem points at the bar, up to $20.00 per visit
  • Once you reach 500 points, you’ll earn a $5 credit that can be redeemed for food at bar bossanova

PLEASE NOTE: When checking your points balance online, the system is unable to display the rewards you would be eligible to collect in person (namely, food at the bar) and is only set up to display items available online (currently nothing).

We are in the process of developing our 2025 calendar of events. Ticketed events will accept points for discounted admission, and will be available online.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Bossanova Rewards is a programme that lets members earn points on almost every purchase in our bottle shop or online store. You can redeem those points for menu items at Bar Bossanova, and occasionally at special pop-up events. Please note the exclusions below. Points are non-transferable and have no monetary value. When you redeem points, they’re applied as a discount code on your order, and can’t be combined with other discounts, promotions, or offers at the time of redemption.

These terms and conditions may change without notice. The version posted on https://bossanova.bar/pages/bossanova-rewards will always serve as the active set.


MEMBERSHIP

Membership is free, and no purchase is required to create a Bossanova Rewards account. To join, you must be a Canadian resident, 19 years of age or older. Only one account is permitted per person, and you may not hold multiple accounts under different email addresses. We may request proof of identity to validate membership. The programme isn’t available to corporations, businesses, charities, partnerships, or any entity that isn’t an individual.

You’ll need to provide an email address, first name, last name, and phone number to participate. We may change these participation methods from time to time.

To earn Bossanova Rewards points in-store, members must, at the point of purchase, provide their first and last name and either the email address or phone number used to enrol. Points are not added after a purchase is completed.

Bossanova Rewards points, offers, and promotions may be offered to all members at the discretion of Bossanova Wine and Beer, Inc. Any offer or promotion is time-limited and might have extra terms, which apply in addition to these Terms and Conditions. Each offer is valid only once unless otherwise stated. We may limit how many points or rewards you can earn on certain products or promotions. If points or rewards were earned in a way that conflicts with these Terms and Conditions, we may consider those points and rewards invalid and remove them. By joining Bossanova Rewards, you agree to periodically receive email updates about your account.


EARNING POINTS

Members earn 3 points for every $1 spent in the bottle shop located at 103 Roncesvalles Ave, or online through bossanova.to.

  • Payment towards HST does not earn points
  • Purchasing a gift card does not earn points. Redemption of a gift card at the bottle shop or online does earn points.

REDEEMING POINTS

Points automatically convert into rewards once your balance hits 500 points (equivalent to $5 in rewards). After you redeem your $5 reward, you’ll need to reach another 500 point threshold before redeeming again. You can redeem a maximum of $20 in rewards per member, per day.

Minimum and maximum redemption amounts can change at any time without notice.

To redeem, just let our bar team know when ordering food.

Sometimes we’ll run special promotions that let you redeem points at a higher value or a lower minimum redemption amount. Any additional terms for those promotions will apply alongside these Terms and Conditions.

The maximum value of points you can redeem in one transaction is $20.00, unless we decide to raise it.

Your Bossanova Rewards points won’t expire as long as your account stays active, but we may close your account without notice if it’s been inactive for at least two years.

Points can’t be combined with other discounts, promotions, or offers at the time of redemption.


EARNING AND REDEMPTION RULES AND EXCLUSIONS

  • Bossanova Rewards points can’t be earned when purchasing gift cards.
  • Points are not earned on any portion of a transaction paid for with redeemed Bossanova Rewards. Points you earn on a purchase can only be redeemed on a future purchase.
  • In any single transaction, points may only be earned on one account.
  • All items purchased (in part or in full) using Bossanova Rewards are final sale.
  • If you return a purchase, your account balance will be reduced by the points earned on that purchase. If a refund or correction is made, your balance will be adjusted up or down by the corresponding number of points. Your balance may become negative if the returned or corrected purchase exceeds the current balance.
  • If you return or exchange purchases you acquired using redeemed points, those redeemed points are forfeited, and you’ll get the value of the returned product as store credit.
  • We may sometimes offer additional points or rewards through special promotions. They may not always appear on your receipt right away but will be applied later.
  • The balance on a receipt, website, email, or mobile app might not reflect the most up-to-date points total. We aren’t liable for any errors in the displayed balance. If you receive points or rewards in error, we can deduct them from your account anytime.
  • If, in our reasonable opinion, products were purchased for resale or commercial use, any points or rewards earned on that transaction will be forfeited. We can also limit the points or rewards earned on promotions to reasonable household quantities.
  • We aren’t responsible for any errors or delays in sending or loading offers. We aren’t obligated to honour points or rewards that weren’t earned or redeemed because of a technical glitch.
  • If you can’t access your account, please contact chat@bossanova.to. You’re responsible for all redemptions on your account, including any made while you were awaiting a password reset or any made due to unauthorised access.
  • At the discretion of Bossanova Wine and Beer, Inc., you may transfer your points or rewards to another member.
  • If a member passes away, their account is closed and all remaining points or rewards are forfeited.
  • Points and rewards have no cash value and can’t be assigned, exchanged, sold, traded, bartered, rented, or otherwise transferred. They’re void if sold for cash or any other consideration.
  • If you close your Bossanova Rewards account, you forfeit any points or rewards that were in your account at closure.

CHANGES TO THE PROGRAMME

We may restrict, suspend, or change these Terms and Conditions or any other part of the programme. If we do, we’ll post the amended Terms on bossanova.to. By continuing to participate in the programme after any changes are posted, you’re agreeing to those amendments.


GENERAL

By taking part in any aspect of the programme, you agree to follow these Terms and Conditions. They may be updated occasionally, so please check bossanova.to for the latest version.

Bossanova Rewards is a programme using an application called Smile Rewards, available through Shopify. If any discrepancies, issues, irregularities or impropriety should occur as a result of deficiencies with Smile Rewards, its staff, contractors or anyone associated in any way with Smile Rewards; or as a result of deficiencies with Shopify, its staff, contractors or anyone associated in any way with Shopify; or as a result of any other party in anyway engaged with providing Smile Rewards, Bossanova Wine and Beer, Inc. accepts no responsibility, nor can we guarantee satisfactory resolution.

It’s your responsibility to protect and secure your account details, including any passwords or security questions. We may end the programme (or any part of it) at any time with 45 days’ written notice, which could be provided in store, on our website, or through other member communications (such as email). If the programme ends, you’ll have up to 60 days from the termination date to redeem any remaining points. After that period, any unused points will be forfeited.

We reserve the right to sell or transfer all or part of the programme to a related company or a third party, or to merge or reorganise in any way. We may also change the organisations that provide offers in connection with the programme.

If your registration details (name, email, phone number, etc.) change, you’re responsible for updating them by logging into your online account at bossanova.to. We aren’t responsible if you can’t be reached because your information wasn’t kept current.

We can refuse membership to anyone at our discretion, including those who don’t meet eligibility requirements or whose previous membership was cancelled. We may suspend or cancel someone’s membership if we believe they’ve abused the programme, haven’t followed these Terms and Conditions, or misrepresented themselves. If that happens, any accumulated points or rewards in the account may be removed.

To the extent permitted by law, by participating in the programme, you release Bossanova Wine and Beer, Inc. and their officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns from any claims or damages relating to the programme, including your participation or redemption of points and rewards.

We may withdraw, change, or suspend part or all of the programme in response to errors, technical issues, unauthorised interference, fraud, or any other cause beyond our control. Any attempt to undermine the programme’s legitimate operation could be a criminal or civil offence, and we may seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Not exercising a right under these Terms and Conditions doesn’t mean we’re waiving it in the future. The words “including” or “includes” mean “including without limitation,” and any dollar figures refer to Canadian dollars.

If any provision in these Terms and Conditions is ruled invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and will be governed according the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
