WHAT IS BOSSANOVA?
EXCEPTIONAL WINE & BEER IN RONCESVALLES VILLAGE
We specialize in wine and beer from all over the world that are exceptional, largely independent or family owned and not available in larger retail chains. Being artisanal, they might only be available for a very limited time, never to be seen again. It is all made by people that care deeply about quality and enjoyment. Like we do.
The wine skews towards classic styles, made with low intervention and using organic/biodynamic farming. Our beer represents the full range of styles, from traditional to playfully experimental.
THE SHOP
We have a constantly changing selection of hundreds of wines, beers & ciders to purchase to-go (with a mandatory food item, as required by government regulation - in our case, a one cent pack of Rockets). There is also a curated selection of wine and beer to enjoy in the shop's casual bar area. Our online store is up to date, and we offer delivery across much of Southern Ontario.
THE BAR
The bar is stacked with the best wine and beer, without television screens, loud music or a hefty food bill. We have locally sourced and prepared, shareable and snackable food. It is simply a comfortable neighbourhood spot to connect with friends and family, while sipping exceptional beverages.
BEN PLISKY-SOMERS (Wine Principal)
Ben holds the Wine & Spirits Education Trust Diploma, the globally renowned school's highest level of wine education.
If stuck on a desert island, Ben would be drinking all the barbaresco and sherry, dancing to funk.
DAN GRANT (Beer Steward)
Past Prud’homme Beer Educator, and former beer writer for Now Magazine, Scandinavian Brewers Review, TAPS Magazine and others. Voted Ontario’s Favourite Beer Personality at the last Golden Tap Awards (2019).
Dan created RUNTOBEER in 2014, and quickly grew it into the largest running community in Canada. His longest run (60 km) was from Great Lakes Brewery in Etobicoke, to MERIT Brewing in Hamilton.
NO CASH
We accept all credit cards, debit and ApplePay. We do not accept cash. Sorry for any inconvenience.

DOGS!
We love your dog and they're welcome inside the shop, but not the main bar due to food service.
Service animals, of course, are welcome while working.
