Aged in cement eggs and old oak
This is the second vintage, working with with cousins Roc and Leo Gramona of L'Enclos de Peralba, the energetic next generation of renowned Corpinnat producer Gramona. Cousins Roc and Leo Gramona are the sixth generation at Gramona, but while they wait for the generational change at the family winery, they created their own project to produce still wines from Penedès. They started in 2017 and work with some of their own vineyards (five+ hectares) and purchase grapes from growers in different zones of Penedès (the names are mentioned on the labels). All vineyards are certified organic and some are biodynamic, but the wines carry no seal. They are sold without appellation of origin.
L'Enclos de Peralba gives Roc and Leo the freedom to experiment outside the family business, and focus on single parcels of local varieties. They aim to create wines that truly showcase the potential of Penedès by practicing old pruning styles, classifying vineyards, and working with local grapes.
