TASTING NOTES
Subtle aromas of candied citrus, almond, honey and slightly stewed fruits such as cherries. A delicate and silky palate makes this an effortless drinkable fortified wine with minerality and refreshing acidity that perfectly integrates the alcohol and sweetness. The finish is long with crunchy hazelnuts and creme brûlée. Drink 2021-2050.

Henri Giraud’s Ratafia Champenois Solera 1990-2016 is a shining example of the “other” drink of Champagne.
Prior to fermentation, the gently pressed and delicate juice is reserved for Champagne, the later press sections – which contain more flavour and phenols – are used to make Ratafia. This must is fortified with grape brandy to make a mistelle before being matured in barrel.
This remarkable bottling is a solera-aged blend, containing fruit from the vintages between 1990 and 2016.
