Domaine Duplessis - Chablis, France (2022)

TASTING NOTES

Really, this is premier cru level and a total delight. A blend of four different 1er Cru vineyards grown on the famous Kimmeridgian limestone soils of the region. With trademark minerality and flint at its core, this dynamite wine exudes lemon and lime, ginger and green apple pie. Tense and a long, long finish.

The fifth generation of Duplessis winemakers, Lilian, leads the wine estate. Concerned about the good health of the soil and climatic issues, he now only works in organic production on 10 ha. The vines are divided into about twenty plots of up to 75 years.

Vinifications are carried out in stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts and age for between 12-15 months before being racked and put in barrels for 6 months.
