TASTING NOTES

A red fruit-driven nose, bursting with ripe berries and some Mediterranean herb notes. Supple tannins, with a medium mouth mouthfeel are bolstered with a refreshing acidity. A touch of herbaceousness on the palate is integrated nicely with the riper fruit. Flavours of red fruit, kirsch and blackberry with a long slightly spicy finish. The wine can take a nice chill.

The vineyard sites are situated on fairly deep alluvial soils in the commune of Estagel, plains and lower hills. The richness of the soils are imparted into the wine. A short maceration of destemmed grapes, light extraction by infusion to favour fruit over tannins. Aging in concrete vats to favour the brilliance of the fruit followed by early bottling keeps the wine fresh and delightful.
