Domaine de Montille is regarded as one of the top producers in Burgundy. It dates back to 1730 & today it is siblings Etienne and Alix de Montille, the 9th generation of the family, who run the prestigious estate.
The winemaking is traditional - partial destemming followed by a relatively long maceration period. The wines are aged in 20-30% new oak barriques and are bottled unfiltered. They are elegant, harmonious and benefit from 5+ years of bottle ageing to show their best.
A few years ago, a certified Kosher winemaking team was brought on board to conduct and oversee a portion of the wine production in order to make non-Meshuval (non-pasteurized) equivalents of some of the estate's top wines.
