TASTING NOTES
Aromas of citrus fruits like grapefruit and mandarin orange that jump out of the glass, this is followed by peach, and crushed blackcurrant leaves with light exotic scents like lychee. This complexity on the nose follows through on the palate which is textured, soft and floral, with a distinct minerality on the finish (owing to similar Jurassic Portlandian to Kimmeridgian limestones as in nearby Chablis).

Saint Bris is the exception within the Bourgogne. Whereas the rest of the appellations are required to make Chardonnay and/or Aligoté for white wines, St Bris' white Burgundies are 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
A family estate created by Marie-Noëlle & Laurent Ternynck, Domaine de Mauperthuis is currently undergoing the transition to organic. Domaine de Mauperthuis covers around twenty hectares of vineyards around Chablis. The estate, in the Burgundy appellation, is planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon and César, on land facing south, benefiting from exceptional sunshine.
