COS - Frappato, Vittoria, Sicily (2023)

TASTING NOTES

Light ruby-red colour in the glass, perfumed aromas of red wildflowers. On the palate, ever so slightly lifted notes of macerated raspberries, red currants and sweet spices with subtle acidity and soft tannins. Chill slightly before serving.

100% Frappato di Vittoria. Fermented and aged in concrete for 9 months prior to release. 

Founded in 1980 by friends Cilia, Occhipinti and Strano between Ragusa and Gela, a few kilometers away from the sea. The soils are calcareous and siliceous set amongst clay and tufa.
