TASTING NOTES
A spicy, delicate skin-contact wine which exhibits floral notes and fresh ripe orchard fruit, along with a salty, briny character. Absolutely yum.

Harvested through eight passes in the vineyard. The initial grapes were whole-bunch pressed, while the later, riper ones were macerated for up to five days. It was then fermented and aged for eight months: 60% in old 500L barrels, 30% in amphoras, and 10% in stainless steel.
Balázs Sziegl studied viticulture and wrote a pHD thesis on the super rare grape, Kadarka and is focused on the vineyards while Petra studied winemaking and is principally in the cellar. They are located about 3 hours south and just east of the Danube River is the village Hajós (southern Hungary near the border with Slovenia).
Their sandy soil vineyard was once noted as a “grand cru” by the top families in the region.
