TASTING NOTES
A rapidly rising superstar in Beaujolais. Mee Godard is an essential reference point for high quality Beaujolais.
This is a really energetic wine with a sparkling nose of wild black fruits, violet and white pepper. Very serious mouth with an ample, sapid and juicy mouthfeel with very fine grained tannins. Long, persistent finish and while accessible, this can age for at least a decade.

A rapidly rising superstar in Beaujolais. Mee Godard is an essential reference point for high quality Beaujolais. Mee earned a biochemistry degree and Masters specialising in wine science at Oregon State University and the Diplôme National d'Oenologue in Montpellier, France.
Mee Godard didn’t grow up in a winemaking family, so she had to carve her own path. She headed to Burgundy, interned at Maison Chanson, Domaines des Comtes Lafon and Corton André, and then in Champagne before acquiring five hectares in Morgon's most famed lieut dits, Côte du Py, Corcelette, and Grand Cras.
Corcelette is a 75-year-old cuvée from Gamays with south-east exposure, from Bellevue and Montillet plots. Aged for 11 months in barrels and demi-muids then 3 months in vats. No sulfur added, be careful, it's good!
Partial destemming (30-40%), Fermentation in both stainless steel and cement vats for 15-20 days with regular punching down and pumping over every morning and evening. Aged for 11 months in demi-muid old oak and 3 more in stainless steel vats.
