Cantine Valpane - "Euli" Grignolino, Monferrato, Piedmont, Italy (2017)
TASTING NOTES
Pure, light and ethereal. Full of incense, dried herbs and dusty cherries. Classic Piemonte. On the palate, peach and blueberry, mushroom and forest floor. Grignolino offers a Nebbiolo-like experience, with the tannins and power dialled down (a touch).

Pietro Arditi is the 3rd generation since 1898 farming and producing wines from this historic, 10ha estate in the Monferrato hills of Piedmont. With a deep respect for the sustainability of the land, Pietro farms organically and has a number of sustainable systems in place to collect rainwater & vine cuttings for water and heating reuse in his house and the winery.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and lasts 21-23 days. The wine is then aged 12-18 months in stainless steel and cement tanks before bottling and another 6 months in bottle before release.
