Redstone - Bistro Chardonnay, Beamsville Bench, Niagara, Canada (2021)

TASTING NOTES

Fragrant with notes of ripe red apple, melon, white flowers with just a touch of butterscotch and lightly toasted bread. In the palate, it is medium-bodied, round, yet crisp and fresh.

Available only to bars and restaurants, this Chardonnay really over delivers both in taste and the care and attention it is handled with in the vineyards and winery. Hand-harvested with each lot individually fermented using indigenous yeasts and aged 12 months in French oak. 

Redstone is the second Ontario winery of Maury Tawse (perhaps more famous for his eponymously named Tawse located just up the hill of the escarpment).
