TASTING NOTES
While definitely in its youth, this wine explodes with gun smoke, celery, cucumber, basil, match stick and an array of dried herbs. Very salty and firm acidity on the palate. Reminiscent of Santorini, but a touch lighter on its feet. As this ages, Grk picks up richness and candied citrus fruits and figs.

The amount of Grk vineyards in the world (and they're ALL on the island of Korčula) can fit comfortably in your house. Almost. But it is very rare. Less than 50 hectares exist, some fear that each vintage of Grk might just be the last.
100% tank fermented with lees contact to round out the palate.
Partly as the plant only has female flowers and so needs another grape variety planted nearby to pollinate it. Grapes for this wine come from the vineyards located in Smokvica, island of Korčula, from the vines ranging between 10 and 50 years of age. Just a short ferry ride from Dubrovnik, Korčula Island is home to some of the oldest vineyards in this part of the world, and is one of the most spectacular and exclusive wine growing regions in southern Dalmatia.
