Weingut Pranzegg is a small 3.5 hectare family estate nestled in the surrounding mountain foothills of the town of Bozen in Südtirol (AKA Alto Adige), just 50 km south of the Austrian border. The winery has been in the hands of the Gojer family for three generations. Martin took over the estate in 2008 and started the conversion to biodynamic farming straight away.

TASTING NOTES
Very bright, super fresh and lip smacking chillable red. Halfway between a rosé and a red, this picnic loving wine is joyful, but with a serious bitter and medicinal snap. A fruity bounty full of cherries, strawberries and red currents with a fair amount of body - this is a fun wine with a lot of flavour.

From a range of different vineyards, all based on volcanic bedrock and sandy weathered soils, Martin Gojer ferments with wild yeasts, short 12-hour maceration and followed by gentle pressing of the grapes. He then adds the skins from their white wine cuvée, Caroline and transfers everything to fibreglass and used tonneaux.
He works with compost, organic fertilisers and natural preparations in the vineyards and no herbicides, pesticides and artificial fertilisers. <30ppm sulphites.
