The Castle of Monterinaldi, in the commune of Radda in Chianti, in the heart of the oldest historical area of the Chianti Classico, is situated near an ancient Etruscan route.
The name comes from "Gottifredo" Lord of Monterinaldi more than a thousand years ago: playing on the first part of his name, the "Gotto" has been added to it, a typical thick-glassed glass which in Tuscany is filled with good sincere red wine to pair with everyday lunch.
